Last week I started to increase my LinkedIn connections and reached out to possible mentors. I also connected with classmates and friends across FISD. By expanding my network, I can reach out to my friend’s connections and further expand my network. By expanding my network, I get the chance to meet more professionals, and whether they pertain to my field of study or not, they are valuable contacts. I look forward to growing my professional network.

I also picked up another focus to study in cybersecurity- CMS attacks. This time when I conducted my research, I not only focused on learning new things, but I also tried to stimulate my analysis and prediction skills. I identified flaws in security setups and then theorized possible solutions. My solutions not only consisted of new solutions, but derived answers from other methods that had flaws. By mixing two methods in such a way that their flaws were annulled, a more powerful method was created.

I still want to branch out and research other cyber threats before making my decision on my Original Work Proposal. I feel that if I cover more topics, then I will have more flexibility, diversity, and insight in cybersecurity.
